About ProfileLab
Serious experience.
A little heat.
A strong profile helps people understand what you do, what you bring, and why it matters. We help you tell that story with more clarity—and a sense of humor.
Experience behind the feedback.
We are a team of industry professionals with decades of combined experience mentoring people, developing talent, and helping careers move forward. We have seen how difficult it can be to translate good work into a profile that does it justice.
ProfileLab brings that mentoring mindset to your public profile: honest observations, clear priorities, and practical suggestions you can put to work. Whether you are starting out, making a change, attracting new opportunities, or simply overdue for an update, the aim is the same: help your experience speak for itself.
The humor makes the feedback memorable. The useful part is knowing what to improve and how to begin.
Real profile data. A consistent method.
Each critique starts with the public information available from the LinkedIn profile you submit. Our review is based on recruiter best practices and evidence-informed career guidance. We apply a structured rubric focused on clarity, relevance, specific evidence, demonstrated outcomes, and an easy-to-follow story.
- Read the evidence. We look at the available profile text, images, experience, and recent activity to understand how you present yourself. Recommendations should connect to what your profile actually says and shows.
- Apply the rubric. Ten categories cover your profile photo, banner, headline, About section, experience, education, skills, Featured content and proof of work, activity and engagement, and job-market positioning. A weighted score gives more emphasis to substantive areas such as experience, headline, and About.
- Turn observations into next steps. Your review identifies strengths, explains weak spots, and offers prioritized actions and suggested rewrites. The goal is useful direction you can adapt to your own voice.
A score with context.
Your score reflects the available evidence and how clearly your profile communicates it. It is not a measure of your ability, your worth, or your likelihood of getting hired.
Public data can be incomplete. When a section is unavailable or cannot be assessed, we distinguish that from a section confirmed to be empty and exclude unassessable sections from the score. The review shows its evidence coverage so you can understand its limits.
Reviews are automated; a team member does not individually review every submission. We do not independently verify your profile claims. Read the feedback critically, check suggested wording for accuracy, and use your own judgment before publishing changes. Our method is intended to support better presentation, not to predict or guarantee a particular career outcome.
Give your profile a fresh pair of eyes.
A little perspective can make your next edit much easier.
